An Eggy Affair

K & I were having dinner over at my place last night. My mum apparently adores cooking for him. She prepared Tau Yew Bak and Sambal Prawns and there was also Sweet Cabbage Soup. There were two hardboiled eggs inside the plate containing the Tau Yew Bak…or so I thought…

Mum: You guys want any more eggs or not? There’s still some more in the pot. I’ll go get more.
Me: No no we’re fine. *looks at the plate and counts* It’s ok. There’s two here already. One for K, one for me. That’s enough for us.
K: *munches on his food silently*
Mum: Two eggs? No lah, I put in three!
Me: Huh?! You put in three? *turns and looks at K*
K: *impish grin* *still munching happily on his food* *takes another egg from the plate*
Me: Darling....
K: *mouth full* What?! *munch munch munch* *gives a bigger impish grin*
Me: *exasperated sigh* You're not supposed to be taking so much eggs!
K: hehehehhe…
