Le Sampan Des Moutons

I gave K a card as a surprise. Got my mum to send it to him while I was in Sydney. He received it on the Tuesday just past.

The card was from my favourite series, the little grey tatty-looking bear. I think it's called the "From Me to You" series. Anyhow, there were two little bears in a little wooden sampan on the cover of the card. It was a night setting and they were huddled together in an embrace on the sampan and the sampan itself was floating on a lake.

From me to K:
"Let's sail away in our own little sampan and find our own little secret cove baby..."

And then K gave me this in return:

p/s:
Baby, you never fail to amaze me...:)
This time round with your immaculate drawing skills...lol.

Only For You

Baby,
These are for you.

For being by my side whenever I needed your support.

For lending me a listening ear whenever I feel down.

For all the times you held my hand during uncertainty and self-doubt.

And for you, I promise, I will be the same. Only for you.

Always
Bb

P/S: Where got girl give boy flowers one?!?!

PP/S: Nice hor the arrangement? Three roses = "I Love You", one big tulip and one big violet = you and me.

PPP/S: Up there, better than poem right?

Dumb Jerk Moment - I

This was one of those stupid things a guy does ever so often - mouth off without thinking. It met with much disapproval and, of course, annoyance from Mich.

It started with Mich sending me a bouquet of digital flowers. And while I had found the action moving, it left me feeling rather inadequate. Receiving flowers, digital or otherwise, from a girl just feels emasculating to me. Call me a prude.

Later that night, we had the following exchange over the phone. Mich was in Sydney and after a less than ideal day was feeling kinda down. Needless to say, I did not do a good job at cheering her up and instead made things worse.

After explaining how giving flowers is a guy thing that should be primarily left for a guy to do,
Me: I love the flowers dear, but for the most part, I was thinking "What the hell?"
Mich: .........
Mich: Wrong word to use dear. >:(

I am a jerk. Sorry baby. :(

Poetic Verses

K & I were chatting on the phone two nights ago. I was calling in from Sydney where my week-long conference was held and was asking him how his day had gone. He mentioned that restlessness and boredom occupied most of his time when he wasn’t studying.

The cold weather must have added some quirkiness to my brain I suppose because I requested K to compose some nice poems for me during his break-times. And the ever-obliging darling of mine then proceeded to serenade me with a poem off the fly:

K: Okok, here goes!

“Roses are red
Violets are blue
Gule melaka is sweet
I love you!”

Me: Hmm…
K: You like it?
Me: I love it but hmm…not very original aye?
K: It’s original~!! I just thought of it only~!!
Me: Hmmm…..
K: okok, I’ll try again. How about this one??

“Apples are red
Grapes are blue
My baby is sweet
I love you”

Me: HAHAHAHAHA
K: How? You like it?
Me: Baby, I love it but it’s still not original~!!
K: But it is~!! I just made that up in my mind~!!
Me: ……
Me: But I still love you baby…

Life Sized Dolls

Mich and I were talking about her upcoming business trip to Sydney and the things she intended to pack for it.

Me: I should go make one of those huge posters of me that comes with a stand for you to bring along. Like those they use at exhibitions. Just put up the stand, roll out and display. You can put it at the corner of your bed so you can look at it all day and night.
Mich: I would rather get a life sized inflatable doll.
Me: .......
Me: So I can be substituted by a doll?
Mich: No. You are irreplaceable. The doll is just temporary. :p

Love, Me

We'd just finished watching "The Taking of Pelham 123" at GV Grand last night and were having a drink at Mac. Choc milkshake for him and the perennial favourite, Iced Milo, for me. :) Class 95 was playing through the sound system and songs from our era were streaming through. "Love, Me" by Colin Raye was eventually featured...

"And between now and then, till I see you again, I'll be loving you. Love, Me"

Just a poignant line from the song which articulated exactly what I felt.

For you baby..:)

Collide

I'm no poet unlike Mich so I try to improvise. By plagiarizing. :p

These are two verses from the song "Collide" by Howie Day. For Mich. :)

"The dawn is breaking
A light shining through
You're barely waking
And I'm tangled up in you

Even the best fall down sometimes
Even the wrong words seem to rhyme
Out of the doubt that fills my mind
I somehow find
You and I collide"

- "Collide" by Howie Day
